• Happy New Year!!!

    January 1, 2021 ishabelle

2020 has been difficulty for everybody. It wasn’t that hard for me because the only thing I had to give up was the frequent travels within Cebu. However, for a lot of people, 2020 held a lot more than just uncertainties. Some people lost jobs, businesses, even loved ones. I pray that everybody’s new year will be more hopeful and promising. I always ring in the new year with a new blog post, and then forget about following through as the…

It’s my father’s birthday today, at least it would have been if he was still alive. I can’t help but wonder how things would have been if he was still around. I mean, how would he have adapted to the ever changing technology? Would he have Facebook? How many friends would he have? Would he be the type of message and video call a lot? It was a fun time. I got to write poetry and connect with people who did the same. Unfortunately, as time wen by, I became more caught up with work life that I had less and less time to join the weekly rallies. I eventually stopped joining, but…

  • So This Is Goodbye

My first relationship was when I was fourteen. At that time, that age was still pretty early to get into boys and whatnot. Funny, though, that I had my first relationship at this age, but I only fell in love about a year or two later. I wrote this poem because of an impending breakup. Trust me when say that the poem had more emotion than the actual breakup. That’s the thing I love about poetry. I can start with…
